Ensemble Coachings & Masterclasses
The commentary offered by the West Shore Piano Trio during their concerts is just a small part of the analysis and discussion that they engage in while preparing a work. Typical research done by the WSPT in preparation for a concert involves biographical, theoretical and academic investigations, and the WSPT enjoys expanding in more detail–always in clear, jargon-free, audience-friendly language–upon a single work or the relationships between works. Audiences are encouraged to become involved in the presentation through questions and discussion with the artists.
Meet the Artists
The West Shore Piano Trio is pleased to meet with any group to discuss what it means to be a professional musician in an ensemble, addressing topics such as the rehearsal process, the construction of a program, the technical details of collaborative work, the role of their instruments in the group, the business aspect, and more. Join us for a lively conversation about life as a musician!
The West Shore Piano Trio has a special program designed for elementary school children. The trio introduces the instruments, talks about music and the feelings it inspires, and finishes with the delightful piece Cinderella by contemporary composer Charles Lee, in which the trio narrates the story as they play the piece.
